   Portugal has over 800 km (500 miles) of stunning coastline, including some of the world’s best surfing spots—especially in Nazaré, where waves can reach up to 30 meters (98 feet)!

   In the 15th and 16th centuries, Portuguese explorers like Vasco da Gama and Ferdinand Magellan led the Age of Discovery, sailing to India, Brazil, and around the world.
